The Flux Vector control, IMPULSE®•VG+ Series 4, relies on feedback from the motor via an encoder. In this closed-loop system, the drive will know the exact speed of the motor all times. During operation, the IMPULSE•VG+ Series 4 compares the motor speed (via the encoder) to the speed reference. The crane controller will make corrections many times a second to very precisely control the speed of the motor down to zero speed. This ensures high precision performance and safe movement of the load.
